Cabinet Handle Size Guide: How to Choose the Right Length and Center-to-Center Spacing

When choosing cabinet handles, two measurements are especially important: overall length and center-to-center spacing (C-C).
Overall length is the full length of the handle, while center-to-center spacing is the distance between the centers of the two mounting holes.
For replacement projects, center-to-center spacing is usually the most important measurement because the new handle needs to match the existing holes if you want to avoid additional drilling.
For new furniture or joinery projects, the handle size can be selected according to the proportions of the cabinet, drawer or wardrobe. Smaller drawers generally suit shorter pulls, while wider doors and wardrobes can work well with longer handles.
